1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern all services, quotes, glass repairs, emergency glazier call-outs, retrofitting, and installations provided by Clearcut Glass.

1.2 By accessing our website, booking our services, or accepting a quote, you (“the Customer”, “Client”, or “User”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use our website or services.

1.3 We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be published on http://clearcutglass.com.au and apply to all subsequent quotations and services.

2. Quotations, Pricing & Payments

2.1 Quotes & Estimates: All quotes provided by Clearcut Glass are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Quotes are based on visual inspections, customer descriptions, or measurements provided.

2.2 Variations: If unforeseen structural issues, hidden damage, frame rot, or non-compliant existing framework are uncovered during work, a variation quote will be provided before proceeding. Additional work will only be completed upon customer approval.

2.3 Payment Terms: Payment is due strictly upon completion of the work unless alternative commercial credit terms have been agreed to in writing prior. We accept cash, bank transfer, and major electronic payment methods.

2.4 Late Payments: Under Victorian law, overdue accounts may be subject to interest charges and recovery/legal fees incurred in recovering the outstanding debt.

3. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Guarantees

3.1 Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010).

3.2 For Services: You are entitled to a refund or re-supply if services are not carried out with due care and skill, or within a reasonable timeframe.

3.3 For Goods: You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

4. Compliance & Australian Standards (AS 1288)

4.1 All glass installations, replacements, and repairs performed by Clearcut Glass strictly comply with Australian Standard AS 1288 (“Glass in buildings — Selection and installation”) and relevant Victorian building codes.

5. Warranties

5.1 Workmanship & Seals: Clearcut Glass provides a 10-year warranty on standard glazing workmanship and Insulated Glass Unit (IGU) seals against premature failure (such as internal fogging/condensation due to seal breakdown), subject to normal use and maintenance.
